After starting up a feud over the weekend, Adam Levine continued to push forth with his battle of words with MTV on Tuesday (August 30).
The Maroon 5 frontman and co-coach from “The Voice” first laid into the music video broadcasting pioneers on Sunday by blasting the annual VMAs.
Of the network’s landmark event, Adam tweeted, “the VMA?s. one day a year when MTV pretends to still care about music. I?m drawing a line in the sand. f**k you VMA?s.?
Pressing on with his crusade against the network – which has switched to airing mostly reality-style shows such as “The Hills” and “Jersey Shore” – Levine told E!, “It’s public knowledge that it’s not a music channel.”
Of the VMAs, Adam added, “It’s become a huge promotional opportunity for artists, which is a good thing. I think that great artists were there and they were represented and there could have been more.”
